TECHNICAL CONSULTANT – NEW JERSEY

 

Reporting to the Regional Lead, the Technical Consultant supports the technical design, installation, configuration and testing of MATRIXX Software Applications with Tier 1 Telco customers in the region. Your responsibilities will require extensive and proactive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders through the full requirements and deployment life-cycle.The successful candidate will work collaboratively with MATRIXX’s engineering and professional services teams with the goal of becoming a MATRIXX software product expert.  Your responsibilities will require you to take ownership of the full requirements and deployment life-cycle of the MATRIXX Software Applications. You will also be required to provide coaching, management and potential mentoring to more junior colleagues.

 

This position is ideal for a candidate looking for a fast paced, dynamic work environment with the personal connection and flexibility of working for a start-up company with its headquarter located in Silicon Valley. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • At least 5 years technical experience in the telecommunication industry
  • 3 years working with real-time network technology (e.g. Intelligent Networks, OCS, real-time mediation, charging, policy control)
  • 5 years working with a telecommunication operator or MVNE/MVNO
  • Significant professional services responsibility in at least a few complex projects
  • Evidence of technical expertise and significant experience in one or more of:
    • Telecom Applications and Systems (IN, OCS, Billing, PCRF, Middleware)
    • Telecom Networking protocols (SS7, MAP, INAP, CAP, DIAMETER, SNMP)
    • IT and Web Service Protocols (SOAP, REST)
    • Scripting languages (Python, Perl)
    • OS and Programming (LINUX, Java, other object-oriented languages)
    • IP network design (routing/switching, load balancing, resilience concepts)
    • Product / software life-cycle concepts
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical / science-based qualification
  • Good communication skills covering both technical and non-technical aspects
  • Willing to travel internationally and international working experience
