Industrialization Engineer – Medical devices

Industrialization Engineer – Medical devices (80-100%)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland with regular travel to partner companies and suppliers (about 20%)

 

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum performance of Ava’s hardware platform with regards to transfer to production, implementation and qualification, medical device compliant production (MDR, FDA), product quality and reliability as well as hardware efficiency and cost savings

• Act as responsible for the interface between development and production implementation for the entire device production

• Oversee conceptualization and implementation of production and testing environment at our contract manufacturer

• Monitor and guide production qualification (IQ / OQ / PQ) at contract manufacturer

• Evaluate production performance

• Independently identify and evaluate production improvements by actively networking with contract manufacturer and other industrial partners

• Initiate and manage production and testing changes related to continuous improvement process (CIP)

• Plan and implement CAPAs in close collaboration with our quality department and customer support

• Demonstrate a hands-on mentality by independently finding solutions to issues in your domain

• Participate in development projects by providing experience and knowledge in finished goods production

• Stay on top of production technologies in the area of wearable sensor systems

 

About you:

• Degree from a renowned technical university (MSc or FH with suitable further education)

• At least 5+ years of experience in a similar environment with 2+ years’ experience in industrialization of mass manufactured products and experience in the production process of electronic devices

• 2+ years’ experience in qualification of production lines

• Experience with wearable, medical devices (health monitoring) and training in the healthcare industry is a strong plus

• Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc. is a plus

• Ability to find pragmatic innovative solutions to technical challenges in an environment of fast pace and limited resources; experience in working in a startup environment is a plus

• Capability to analyze complex technical issues and quickly derive appropriate actions

• Willingness to work in a cross functional, project driven and highly regulated and documented environment

• Strong communication skills with individuals from diverse backgrounds

• Fluent in English

• German and other languages (in particular Mandarin) are a plus

• Entrepreneurial, “hands-on”, highly self-motivated and driven, empathic
