Product Manager

Reporting: Chief Revenue Officer

 

The Product Manager is responsible for guiding the success of the CloudCheck and Expresse product and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving them. It is an important organizational role that sets the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for the product and its evolution.  The Product Manager is responsible for producing detailed documents which customers will use to understand what the productdoes, and Engineering will use to ensure it is developed and tested to meet these requirements.  The Product Manager will work with customers to identify their future needs; analyze market and competitors’ actions which can modify these needs; develop a pricing strategy which customers will accept and positions the product to be profitable and competitive; as well as working with Sales to help convince customer of the value the product provides.

 

ASSIA’s mission is to deliver excellent end user experience from efficient use of resources on premise and in the network.  This helps Service Providers grow revenue (maximizing take-up, reducing churn and upsell of key services) while reducing Operational Costs (proactively solving problems, enabling self-service and linking to automation) andmaximizing return on investment (recommending where and what to deploy and what services to offer).   This has become especially important for Service Providers as end user services (entertainment, voice, messaging, transactions and environment) evolve to be dependent on broadband to the device delivered across a combination of fixed, mobile and Wi-Fi technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership, publication, update and gaining acceptance for the product roadmap through presentations, meetings, marketing and demonstrations
  • Detailed product feature definition in customer deliverable documents with detailed use case descriptions which Engineering can use for development and test
  • Preparation of the operating plan for the product: achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit and return on investment for all the channels/categories of business and /or key customers
  • Management and implementation of marketing activities though research, strategic planning and implementation
  • Analysis of the customer business cases and value to be obtained from using the product, then use of this information to build a compelling and profitable pricing strategy for the product
  • Training and support for ASSIA sales team to understand what the product does (and does not do); value to the customer and sales strategies for profitable and successful implementation
  • Prioritization of customer requests to maximize the use of ASSIA resources and return on investment as well as satisfying customers key needs for use of the product
  • Work with ASSIA Engineering, Deployment and Quality teams to make sure we deliver what we had promised, and it meets customer needs
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts. Ensure and manage customer satisfaction – make sure we understand the value being provided by our solutions then communicate this to customer
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in partner accounts and make sure that the partnership relationship meets ASSIA business objectives to for profitable growth and end user product acceptance
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives

Travel and Location:

  • Redwood City, CA

            (also consider Madrid or remote – must be ready to spend significant amount of time in office in Redwood City)

  • Travel as required – up to 40% of time

  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability
  • Solutions delivered to customers meet their expectations for impact on their business resulting on ongoing payments and orders
  • Identifies new opportunities to help ASSIA grow it business

Requirements:

  • 10 + years business development experience.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Strong track record of successful product definition and business success
  • Excellent organization skills; superior attention to detail.
  • Works well independently, high energy, and strives to succeed.
  • Moderate travel required.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to exercise assertiveness to influence others so as to create desired sales results.
