Senior Inclusion & Diversity Business Partner

Fastly is looking for a forward-thinking and strategic practitioner in the areas of inclusion, diversity, equity and belonging. Partnering closely with the People team and other functional groups, you will build relationships and develop trust throughout the organization at all levels, and will work cross-functionally to develop and implement a vision for cultivating inclusion and belonging.

You will engage with leaders, employees and other constituents to build and execute a strategic plan and frameworks for inclusion and diversity that are unique to Fastly. You will help develop strategies, define objectives, and translate into practical and actionable solutions. You will work closely with the People team to embed solutions into people-related programs and initiatives that support and enable Fastly’s talent strategy and strategic objectives.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate internally to lead D&I planning, including establishing guiding principles, building a process structure, and developing framework models to coordinate / organize action and create opportunities for integration and collaboration

Establish objectives, goals, action steps, and checkpoints; develop a roadmap and identify measurable indicators for each goal

Run the Diversity & Inclusion Survey; uncover insights to drive positive change

Partner internally on D&I initiatives, including employee programs, external events, speaker series, outreach, etc., across multiple locations

Develop a communication and engagement strategy

Contribute to the design and execution of people-related programs and initiatives, including talent planning, compensation planning, feedback cycles, management/leadership development, etc.

Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships across the organization; function as an internal advisor and consultant. Lead with integrity, objectivity, sensitivity and courage.

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of progressive experience in developing and implementing inclusion and diversity strategies in partnership with HR, Recruiting and/or other groups as it relates to attracting, engaging and developing talent, employee education and involvement, leadership development, etc.

Demonstrated experience partnering with HR and other business teams to deliver programs across large, cross-functional audiences in support of cultivating more diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces

Exceptional influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proven track record of raising leadership awareness and cultivating engagement and accountability across multiple levels within the company -- executives through employees.

HR generalist background preferred with experience in one or more areas: organizational development, employee relations, people operations, learning & development, compensation, employment law, etc.

Excellent analytical skills; successfully uses data to extract insights

Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations; global knowledge beneficial

Proven success in establishing credibility and trust with diverse client groups; shows empathy and compassion towards people with varying levels of awareness and across different identities

Accomplished at facilitating dialogue and conversation around emotionally-sensitive topics

A passion for staying current on the latest research in diversity, equity, inclusion, related news, and best practices
