Job description

 

We are looking for a person (M/F) to join the Ops team dedicated to the deployment and support of the company’s products. For this position, the company is looking for a PostgreSQL DBA.

Responsabilities

 

  • Design and implement database systems of high availability and quality
  • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
  • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses (indexes)
  • Participate in the design and modeling of the various schemas
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
  • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
  • Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
  • Setup and management of clustering and replication
  • Forensic investigation in to database anomalies
  • Migration between database environments
  • Data security and encryption methodologies
  • Report writing and working with data scientists
  • Understanding of underlying computing and storage

Requirements

 

  • MSc or BSc from a leading university or institute of technology
  • PostgreSQL training and certifications including PostGIS
  • Experience of SQL – Postgres migration
  • Linux training and certifications.
  • Workable knowledge of Linux and bash
  • English written and oral skills (other languages a plus)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced agile environment with a cross-functional team
  • Team spirit, strong motivation, ability to deliver consistently, result-oriented
  • Some experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Hibernate a plus
