For its eco-system partnership business development, Actility is looking for motivated and tenacious IoT Partner Business Development Representatives apprentice to join our eco-system and solutioning team. The candidate is responsible for the initial contact and accompanying qualified IoT device makers and application providers, to successfully realize their Actility Ignite program journey. He should guide and follow-up their step-by-step process to take full benefit of Actility ThingPark products & services.

Job description

As the first line of communication with eco-system partners are commercial and technical representatives, the ideal candidate should have very good understanding of the program process, excelling and understanding the contact needs, starting new relationships, supporting, and promoting our business closer to success.

Business development capabilities and mind set are excellent skills to accomplish this mission.

You should be a quick learner with strong communication skills and with the ability to showcase our community program offerings and its benefits in a compelling way. The perfect candidate should have a good technical background in IT or development to embrace the technical aspect of the IoT eco-system.

Every potential eco-system partner products and services integration is an opportunity for Actility to strengthen its business in the IoT LoRaWAN eco-system and boost revenue growth directly and indirectly, obtain customer acquisitions, and profitability.

The position is an apprenticeship contract, based in Actility office HQ in Paris.

Main responsibilities

The IoT Partner Business Development Representative is responsible for initiating, supporting, educating, and accompanying qualified IoT device makers and application providers, to successfully realize their Actility Ignite program journey. You will grow Actility footprint within the IoT eco-system by:

  • Implement Actility Ignite Program strategy world-wide by means of support, identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new IoT eco-system players and keeping up-to-date reports on the program activities.
  • Be the main point of contact for eco-system partners and player throughout their Ignite program journey.
  • Ensure successful follow and on boarding advancement, through of our Ignite program processes.
  • Collaborate with the Ignite technical support team to grant technical advice and consulting.
  • Maintain accurate activity and program management through our project applications namely Jira and CRM.
  • Profile strategic eco-system key players, researching, contacting, promoting, and presenting the Ignite program and solutions to begin their journey by different means such as mails, LinkedIn messaging, etc.
  • Follow-up on inbound marketing eco-system leads and identify qualified players providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team members to promote strategic cooperation with eco-system players and partners.

Required Skills

  • BA / BS / MS degree preferably in engineering, business or equivalent required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic presence.
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic.
  • Proactive and “can-do” state of mind.
  • High level of integrity and strong commitment building a successful engagement and trust towards the partner.
  • Should work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven taste and attraction for technologies (electronics, mobiles, Internet…).
  • Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Candidates should be perfectly fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.
