Marketing Event Specialist

Location: Tolochenaz, Switzerland

Travel: up to 50% of time

Job Description 

This position is ideal for an independent, self-motivated, practical, enthusiastic individual. The person will be responsible for the end-to-end organization of European and US marketing events and trade shows.

The correct candidate will need to have great communication skills, an investigative mind and be good at problem solving with an attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Marketing Manager and CMO to determine sponsorship package according to budget, and provide guidance on booth location and congress activities
  • Select booth type and design, and manage all booth activities (test-drives, meetings etc.)
  • Organize mobile system needs, delivery and pick up with transportation company
  • Track budget for each event and provide regular updates to Marketing Manager and CMO
  • Organize accommodation and rooming list for the team in collaboration with our Office manager
  • Coordinate with sales team to determine their needs and make their work as smooth as possible
  • Liaise with Marketing Manager and CMO to update internal Sales and Marketing Calendar
  • Synchronize with the sales team in the venue selection and organize end-to-end logistics of annual customer event including invitations, multimedia set-up, venue, catering, meals, etc…
  • Manage other logistics according to event type (Masterclass, webinars, virtual workshops etc)
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the yearly distributor meeting including invitations, multimedia set-up, venue, catering, meals, etc…
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the quarterly business reviews including invitations, multimedia set-up, venue, catering, meals, etc…
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of processes and solutions to increase efficiency in daily operations
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager and CMO on overall congress strategy
  • Responsible for organizing event related lead collection and Collaborate with Marketing Manager in lead identification

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of congress or event organization experience, research device industry experience a plus
  • Languages (spoken and written): fluent in English and French, other languages a plus
  • Demonstrate ability to set-up new workflows, coordinate projects, and organizing, prioritizing, and coping with various tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with cross functional teams to reach common project goals
  • Flexible and reliable, and strong attention to details
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office product suite
  • Travel up to 50% required
  • Swiss work certificate or EU citizenship
