Hardware Test Engineer

Starting date: To be discussed

Your role:

Your role will be to participate in the mechanical development, industrialization and sustaining of Flyability’s current and future UAVs, accessories and payloads.

What you will own:

  • Designing, assembling, qualifying and maintaining R&D testing setups (e.g. aging box, stabbing box, etc.) based on technical requirements from experts
  • Analysing and documenting test results
  • Writing manufacturing and testing instructions for suppliers and for internal production
  • Actively helping in defining system and sub-system performances/reliability verification protocols to prove the compliance to expected technical requirements
  • Performing system performances/reliability verification activities based on defined protocols
  • Supporting internal production and quality activities when issues occur
  • Creating databases to track verification activities
  • Interfacing with suppliers, with our hardware team and with our system engineers

Requirements

Your profile:

  • Experience with CAD software (Solidworks)
  • Basic electronics skills, able to read and understand a schematic
  • Good hands-on skills, mechanical and soldering skills
  • Good programming skills using the Python language
  • Field/flight testing experience is preferred
  • Prototyping and the use of general workshop equipment
  • Eye for details, structured work organization and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good level of English. French or any additional language an asset
  • Minimum of a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
