About the Role:

As the VIP AM- Team Manager you will be responsible for managing members of the Cognism VIP AM team and assisting your reps in closing customer renewals and expansions. You are tasked with coaching, leading, and mentoring a team of VIP Account Managers and ensuring necessary contribution to Cognism’s overall revenue goals.

AM Managers will report to the Head of Account Management and are expected to work collaboratively with the Account Management Team to develop new initiatives that will result in more pipeline for the business, as well as, autonomously working with their team to develop their individual sales skills. This role is based from our London Headquarters with plenty of flexibility for remote working. Managers are expected to be in office at a minimum of x1 per week.

 

What you’ll be doing:
  • Coaching of AMs including setting up effective individual training plans, one to one training, and weekly training.
  • Day to Day Management of reps including weekly 1-2-1s to discuss both personal and professional matters
  • Performance analysis of reps including Performance against quota, Overall Activity, administrative performance (CRM management etc.)
  • Engage in demonstrations with VIP business decision makers. This will be across several verticals and locations
  • Collaborate and support 4-6 VIP AM’s to drive deals over the line, assist with all VIP active opportunities
  • Moderate experience with gap & value selling sales methodologies
  • Ensure strong qualification and understanding of the pains and challenges prospects are facing
  • Deep understanding of inside sales best practices (pipeline management, external expectation setting, closing for call to actions, transparent and ethical selling).
  • Skilled at identifying and negotiating win-win propositions to accelerate deals
  • Leverage call recording tools to improve overall coaching, deal execution and enablement for VIP AM’s on a weekly basis
  • Optimize and deliver a tight process through the prospects evaluation of Cognism
  • Be proactive in your approach to learning. This involves listening to fellow sales team members demonstrations and seeking help from the team when needed, being proactive as opposed to reactive
  • Improve conversion rates and deliver an exceptional experience throughout the customers journey
  • Accurately relay forecasting and pipeline reviews to the Head of Account Management whilst ensuring that your Quarterly quotas are met
  • Recruitment including initial stages of interviews and liaising and providing feedback to external agencies, candidates and the Head of Talent Acquisition

Requirements

  • Experience as an Account Manager is essential as well as previous leadership or management experience in a tech environment.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota and closing transactional business
  • Comfortable in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Previous role as a quota carrying Account Manager with 5-7 years experience with proven success of over performance, in a SaaS organisation.
  • Must be able to close deals, manage processes while coaching others in the team
  • A can-do and agile attitude, necessary to thrive in a scale-up environment
  • A master in active listening with the ability to adapt your tonality and approach to your prospects
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt under pressure
  • Exceptional gravitas and presentation skills
