Product Engineer

We are actively seeking a Product Engineer based in Scotland. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for all Product engineering activities at Kandou and will report to the Director of Operations
  • Statistical analysis of data to support NPI, Production and Customer Return activities
  • Ownership of end-to-end product yield across Kandou product lines
  • Drive yield improvement activities by leading cross function teams in generating and closing Continuous Improvement Plans
  • Central role in the quick turnaround of customer return issues, working within cross functional teams, to contain and implement corrective actions, and ensure appropriate communications on status internally within Kandou and to end customers
  • Work with Yield Management Systems engineer to continue to develop tool to deliver best in class functionality.
  • Co-Work with Test Development Team to approve release to production of test programs, by determining production readiness, using GR&R methodology
  • Disposition products through an MRB process to ensure all product released to customers meets Kandou quality requirements
  • Co-work with reliability team to determine appropriate stresses applicable to Kandou products drive root cause on failures generated during reliability stresses
  • Lead the analysis of characterization data to confirm ability to meet datasheet limits, determine appropriate spec limits to be used on ATE and root cause any results that do not match simulations
  • Design, write and review reliability hardware and software

 

Skills:

  • Understanding of ATE systems and associated hardware and software
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to work with design, quality and process teams in problem solving
  • Used to working in a commercially driven organization as part of a Product Development and Operations team
  • Able to work to tight and variable time scales
  • Ability to plan and manage own workload and that of others
  • Flexibility to travel to Kandou’s offices, supplier, and customer locations
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with excellent numerical ability
  • An innovative, creative, lateral thinking problem solver
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Good networking, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Scripting skills using Python, PERL etc.

 

 Experience:

  • +10 years semi-conductor industry experience essential with knowledge of manufacturing processes, test equipment, FA techniques and data analysis best practices
  • Possesses hands-on experience, has demonstrated leadership, communication and influencing skills and is able to communicate with ease with customers, Senior Management and all Kandou groups
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and structured problem solving such as 8-D, fishbone, and other tools
  • Knowledge of yield management tools and statistical analysis packages
