Wanja first joined Swisscom Ventures for an Analyst position in 2014 and rejoined the team after completing assignments at the Silicon Valley Outpost in Menlo Park and the corporate strategy department of Swisscom in 2015. Wanja assists each of the investment directors on sourcing, assessing and executing investment opportunities in each of their areas of interest. He also acts as a link between portfolio companies and Swisscom’s business units, always aiming to add tangible strategic value to our investments. Wanja contributed to spinning-off VirtualAds, a virtual advertising startup that he still actively supports in a business development capacity today. Before joining Swisscom Ventures, Wanja already held different positions in the financial industry and graduated with a Master’s degree in information, media and technology management from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a certificate in Design Thinking from Stanford University.
