Role:
The MATRIXX engineering application team is looking for a talentedhands-on, senior architect to join the team responsible for our industryleading digital commerce platform. You will put your expertise to work on the future direction and implementation of our high performance, highly available, scalable, enterprise class software. This position is an opportunity to technically drive a new product area and work on a unique combination of high-speed transaction processing, distributed systems, and cloud native services.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture definition and prototype validation of the future development and on-going enhancement of the MATRIXX billing solution.
- Provide architecture and design consulting to cross functional product and engineering teams.
- Analyze product requirements and produce detailed design documents.
- Contribute through all aspects of the software development lifecycle process within engineering.
- Mentor the team with technology evaluations, designs, and implementations.
- Write and provide oversight for clean, efficient code.
- Interface with Product Management and Marketing to analyze business and customer needs and help drive the product roadmap and priorities.
- Provide leadership with state-of-the-art technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years' experience as a developer lead.
- 5+ years' experience in a system design/architect role.
- Extensive hands-on experience in C++ product development.
- In-depth expertise with billing software.
- Strong knowledge and experience with large scale data systems.
- Familiarity with container and cloud native software practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with experience working in mission-critical large production customer environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or related discipline.
Desired Experience:
- Java application development.
- Familiarity with telecom networking protocols is desirable.
