Intern in Propulsion (6 months)

Joining Flyability is not just taking on a new job, it is seizing the opportunity to improve the life of millions of people and build the future of robotics.To complete our creative and dynamic team in Lausanne, we are seeking an Intern in Propulsion (6 months)For this hands-on position, you will join the Flyability Propulsion Lab, working on the propulsion system of our next-generation UAVs. You will support us in tackling the many propulsion related challenges and help us push the boundaries of what UAVs can do in indoor environments. From batteries and speed controllers to motors and propellers, this is a very broad field indeed, which allow us to tailor the job description to your interests and competencies.What you will own    Design and implementation of testing jigs and prototypes    Performing experimental components testing and post-processing the acquired data    Benchmarking components and suppliersYour profile    Good theoretical and practical electrical engineering skills    Basic knowledge of the aerodynamics of flying vehicles    Experience in the conception of prototypes and functional samples    Practical prototyping skills such as 3D printing, soldering, and CNC    Previous model planes/drones experience is a big plus    Knowledge of MATLAB, Solidworks, Altium, etc    Experience in data acquisition is a big plus    Eye for details, independent mindset and excellent problem-solving skills    Very Good level of English. French or any additional language is an asset
