MATRIXX Software is hiring for the position of Senior Systems Administrator, reporting to the IT Director. This new position is the result of our growth and will be responsible for maintaining all global infrastructure and core IT applications in a cloud-only environment with a 100% work from home global workforce. 

What You Do

Using your ability to manage your time with the skills and ability to work and be self-motivated from a home office you will

  • Administer all corporate technology infrastructure and core IT cloud applications using strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Design and operate Windows and Mac endpoint management systems, as well as Okta single sign on
  • Assist in analyzing business needs and evaluating new technologies
  • Design and implement new systems and applications
  • Lead and/or execute projects by developing scope/timelines, and execute using project management methodologies
  • Write internal and end user documentation
  • Resolve escalated issues from the IT Service Desk
  • Provide occasional after-hours support

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with a managing and administering IT infrastructure in startup and medium size enterprises
  • College degree in a computer science or engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • Professional certifications for Microsoft, Okta, and/or JAMF technologies are very helpful
  • In-depth knowledge of and practical experience with deploying and managing these products and cloud infrastructure technologies
    • Okta SSO, universal directory, provisioning, and workflow design
    • Microsoft Office 365 including Azure Active Directory (no on-premise AD)
    • Microsoft Exchange Online, Exchange Online Protection/Advanced Threat Protection
    • Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager MDM, Windows Autopilot
    • JAMF Pro MDM & JAMF Connect, Apple DEP/Business Manager
    • Windows 10 and Mac OS in a corporate environment
    • Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom collaboration systems
    • Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, and/or Egnyte file sharing systems

Helpful Extras

  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticket based workflow systems
  • PowerShell and basic scripting
  • Network design DNS, firewalls, routers
  • SharePoint design, particularly use of SharePoint as an Intranet
  • Sophos anti-malware, Cisco Umbrella
  • Azure Cloud server infrastructure as well as desktop virtualization technologies
