Intro

At Unsupervised, Product Design is fully empowered to research and solve high value customer problems. 

The Lead Product Designer will play a pivotal role in the practice and craft of design. You will participate in all aspects of projects, from design thinking and design sprints to prototyping and executive playbacks. You'll evangelize design across the organization, advocating for users throughout the process, and will combine empathy and data to create impactful, best-of-class digital experiences. 

You are a go-to person, can work collaboratively or autonomously, and serve as an expert in user-centered best practices to people across the organization.

We solve problems in order of scope and priorityThis approach to design requires:

  • Conscious effort to maintain big-picture thinking
  • Ability to identify, vet, and evangelize core Jobs to be Done and Job stories
  • A greater desire to create value for our users than really hot UIs
  • Strong ability to make really hot UIs once that value is proven

Our time is largely unstructured outside of an expectation of value provided per releaseThis working model requires:

  • High level of time management and mastery over personal motivation
  • Approximately 5 years of experience or around 20 complete B2B product cycles (problem defined -> product release). This level of experience develops the hard skills and intuition necessary to function at this level of independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience as a Product Designer or UI/UX Designer working with product team and tech leads
  • Proven experience designing software applications using Figma
  • Strong knowledge of interaction design processes and methodologies
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment that requires independent self-direction with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
  • Proactive and takes ownership for producing positive results
  • Wireframing, Data Visualization Experience, Product Design, etc
  • Prior startup experience working at an early-stage company huge plus

 

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is approximately: $120K - $170K, plus equity
