UX Researcher

The growing UX team at Scandit is looking for its first UX researcher.  

As a UX Researcher at Scandit, you have the opportunity to define Scandit’s UXR strategy and own the end-to-end execution of research upon which we base product and design decisions, and the usability testing through which we iterate and improve our products.

In this role, you will help product managers, UX designers and engineers get a front-seat view into the experience of our end-users, across a large number of diverse use cases in retail, transport & logistics, healthcare, and beyond.

Our Smart Data Capture solutions bring a unique design challenge of connecting the real and the digital worlds via the camera interface. We are breaking conventions and common wisdom for our end users.  That’s why good usability is imperative!  

What You Will Do

  • Identify and prioritize research opportunities across the product organization.
  • Coordinate, recruit, set up and conduct user research studies using appropriate methods.
  • Develop relationships with usability labs / agencies to augment our capacity.
  • Synthesize and prosthelytize research findings to the product organization and beyond.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Design, Anthropology, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with UX teams to deliver actionable research and user testing.
  • Experience integrating user research into product and UX design.
  • Knowledgeable about a wide range of UX research methods such as contextual inquiry, usability reviews, surveys etc.  
  • Native-level fluency in Swiss-German is a must.
  • Business-level English is a must.
