Financial Controller

As part of the role you will have the opportunity to:

 
 
Lead the setup of a new financial system, overseeing its configuration and ensuring a smooth transition from the old system
 
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparing required financial statements and tax filings
 
Execute thorough and accurate bookkeeping to maintain up-to-date financial records
 
Play a crucial role in budget management, collaborating with all other teams to develop, monitor, and control budgets that align with our financial goals
 
Develop and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement financial processes and procedures that enhance efficiency and accuracy
 
Handle supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
 
Take charge of cash management and bank reconciliations, ensuring our financial records are always up to date and accurate
 
Manage compliance requirements, including VAT, Tax, and Audits, by maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submissions to regulatory authorities
 
Work closely with external providers, such as auditors, tax accountants and banks, to facilitate financial transactions and compliance
 
Proactively communicate with customers regarding invoicing, addressing any inquiries and tracking customer payment timetables

Requirements

 
 
Bachelor’s degree in accounting , CPA license- Must
 
Internship in one of the Big 4 accounting firms - Advantage
 
Knowledge and comfort with accounting principles, regulations, SOX and financial reporting
 
Experience and working knowledge with financial system - Must (Priority - Advantage)
 
Excel - Not even a question
 
Experience with data/bookkeeping/COA
 
Prior experience in tech, start-ups - Advantage
 
Strong analytical skills, methodical and attention to detail
 
Problem-solving attitude and self-motivation
 
Looking for responsibility and accountability
 
Can-do attitude, comfortable working across teams
 
Fluent communication in English (written and speaking)- Must
