To complete our creative and dynamic team in Lausanne, we are seeking a 

Camera Systems Intern (100%)

Starting date: as soon as possible.

Your role:

For this hands-on position, your understanding of remote sensing and imagery will allow you to analyze the challenges of indoor industrial inspections. You will scout for specific RGB and thermal cameras suited to our customer’s needs and help them push the boundaries of drone-based remote inspection.

After getting familiar with the Elios 3 RGB and thermal cameras, you will look at alternative hardware and calibration procedures to enable close-up inspections and thermal imaging. You will design and build testing setups, test and compare cameras, and eventually prototype drones with new payloads on the field.

What you will own: 

  • Benchmarking components and suppliers
  • Design and implementation of testing jigs and prototypes
  • Performing experimental components testing and post-processing the acquired data

Requirements

Your profile:

  • Good theoretical and practical electrical engineering skills
  • Photography - basic understanding of optics and cameras
  • Programming in C/C++, Python
  • Experience in the conception of prototypes and functional samples
  • Knowledge of at least one of the most used engineering tools (MATLAB, Solidworks, Altium, etc)
  • Experience with image processing with OpenCV or other libraries is a plus
  • Eye for details, independent mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Very good level of English. French or any additional language is an asset
