Meet Max, Our New Investment Analyst

Max, born and raised in Zurich, embarked on his career in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Corporate Development & Strategy team at one of Southeast Asia’s largest FinTech start-ups. He then joined a venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments, further honing his skills and expertise.

Max holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Zurich and a Master of Laws in Technology & Intellectual Property Law from the University of Hong Kong. During his time in Hong Kong, he was part of St. John’s College, the oldest college in the city. His responsibilities included managing over 200 of the brightest and most diligent students from across Asia, an experience that enriched his perspective and taught him to think in terms of years and decades rather than just months and quarters.

As he joins our team, Max will be responsible for identifying promising start-ups and working closely with our investment team to secure successful deals. In addition to his role in investments, he will undertake assignments related to the fund and oversee portfolio companies.

Max’s return to Switzerland is driven by both personal and professional ambitions. He is eager to immerse himself in the Swiss start-up ecosystem and ensure that Swisscom Ventures continues to support the most innovative start-ups, maintaining our position as the leading venture capital firm in Switzerland.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Max is an avid amateur football player, having represented clubs with rich histories in both Switzerland and Hong Kong. He is committed to maintaining an active lifestyle and focusing on his health, which aligns with his values of consistency, commitment, and long-term thinking.
