Carlo Grassi

Carlo has been the Financial Manager of Swisscom Ventures since 2006, where he oversees administration, manages the annual team and venture investment budgets, and served as CFO for spin-off companies and a venture fund.

His responsibilities include close collaboration with multiple portfolio companies, and he held directorships on the boards of two Swiss startups. Additionally, Carlo has served on the Supervisory Board of an international telecommunications company in the Netherlands, which was successfully liquidated.

With over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, Carlo has built a comprehensive skill set across various disciplines, including administration, commercial management, marketing, consulting, and strategic financial management. His career began in consulting, solution development, and product management for teleinformatics services such as data networks and videoconferencing, before transitioning to operational and financial leadership roles in national and international spin-offs.

Carlo has deepened his expertise through formal education, earning a certification from the Business Administration and Management School St. Gallen and completing an intensive management seminar with a diploma thesis. He has further enhanced his CFO capabilities through specialized IFRS seminars. Carlo’s adaptability, customer-focused approach, and strategic insight have made him a key player in the successful financial management of Swisscom Ventures and its diverse portfolio.

On a personal side: Carlo enjoys travelling and doing sports.
