Klea Wenger

Done is better than perfect

Klea Wenger is an Investment Director at Swisscom Ventures, where she plays a key role in driving investments in Switzerland’s deep tech ecosystem. Since joining the team in 2018, Klea has been passionate about working with Swiss deep tech startups, helping to identify and support the future tech winners of Switzerland as part of the Deeptech Nation Switzerland initiative. With a strong academic foundation, she holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from EPFL and the ETH Zurich as well as an international MBA from Nova School of Business and Economics and MIT Sloan.

Klea has extensive experience in venture capital investments, particularly in the fields of robotics, industrial tech, Edtech, and the Future of Work. She has been actively involved in several successful investments, including Flyability, Anybotics, Yokoy, and Labster, where she brings her deep understanding of technology and business strategy. As part of her role, Klea is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic investments and supporting portfolio companies as they scale, with a strong focus on driving innovation in Switzerland’s tech landscape.

Before her venture capital career, Klea gained experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry with Migros Industry in Switzerland, where she worked across various roles in Innovation and R&D, Marketing & Sales, and Business Development. However, her focus today is squarely on deep tech, where she believes the future of Switzerland’s technology sector lies.

On a personal note: Outside of work, Klea enjoys an active lifestyle that includes traveling, yoga, and spending quality time with her family, including her two young boys. In addition to her interests, she is dedicated to her local community as the president of the Settlement Commission, where she organizes activities and fosters community engagement.
