Semih Kaçan
Semih joined Swisscom Ventures in 2021 as an Investment Manager, bringing not only over a decade of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business development, and asset management from his previous roles at Credit Suisse, BearingPoint, and Haspa but also a strong entrepreneurial background. He co-founded two ventures in Zurich —Trust Square, a prominent blockchain hub and accelerator, and Blocksport, a B2B SaaS sports tech company focused on innovative and web3-enabled fan engagement. Since 2023, Semih has served as an Investment Director, specializing in Enterprise SaaS, Cybersecurity, Fintech, and institutional Digital Assets. In this role, he sources, evaluates, executes investment opportunities, and manages portfolio companies.
Beyond Swisscom, he serves as a Board Observer for companies such as Ox Security, Yokoy, AccelerComm, and Inpher, collaborating closely with these leaders.
Semih holds a Master’s in Corporate Finance from Henley Business School, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg, and has completed a course at Harvard Business School. Driven by a growth mindset and a commitment to innovation, he combines strategic insight with hands-on experience in the startup ecosystem.
On a personal note: Semih has summited Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoys high-intensity interval training (HIIT), embracing challenges in and out of the office. He also enjoys a good glass of wine at the end of the day.
