Peter Ibbotson
Peter Ibbotson is the Investor Relations Partner at Swisscom Ventures and has played a key role in driving investments into high-potential startups across various technology sectors.
With 17 years of investment experience, Peter has built a dynamic career that spans venture capital, corporate finance, and entrepreneurship. Originally from the UK, he now resides in the Geneva region and holds an MBA from HEC Lausanne, a BSc Hons from Bradford, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Over the years, he held key positions in various sectors, including acting as CFO for Endeavour Vision, a Geneva-based venture capital firm focused on technology and life sciences, where he was involved in major investments such as Amplidata (acquired by Western Digital), Symetis (acquired by Boston Scientific), and PneumRx (acquired by BTG). Peter’s experience also includes executing M&A transactions across the EMEA region at Bunge, and advising on deals in the MENA region, including the financing of the King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to his role at Swisscom Ventures, he serves on the boards of Scailyte, a precision medicine company leveraging single-cell science, CREAL, a firm developing advanced AR/VR displays and Neo Medical, a leading Swiss company focused on technology for spinal surgery. He was previously a Board Observer at NetGuardians, a Swiss FinTech specializing in AI-driven fraud prevention for banks.
On a personal side: beyond his professional commitments, Peter has a deep love for sports such as skiing, running, and triathlons and spends much of his time traveling around to support his son in achieving his sporting dreams.
